Checking In

Just a quick note to let you know I'm still hanging in there and still working on the house. I finally got the linoleum floor tile down in the craft/pc room!!! Course I had to stop and learn how to fix the leaking plumbing in the demolished bathroom right smack in the middle of doing the craft room floor. My son, bless his heart gave me a quick lesson on pvc pipe repair/installation for shut off valves over the phone. He's a great teacher because it DIDN'T LEAK !!! LOL, I seriously had my doubts but took on the job as he's working 10 hr days right now. Mom and I also did some of the grouting of the shower stall, OUCH, killed the muscles in my arms and hands, it's going to take many days of work for me, just mixing up the grout is a job in itself for sore muscles. I'd like to post some pics of the reno but don't have the energy to resize, lable and upload right now.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY 2008

DSP, my favorite digital Scrapbooking site :) is having their Christmas in July event this week!! Sales, freebies, activities and loads of fun! I sure hope to join in, depends how much work I can get done on this place, yep, still under construction, LOL.

The renovation of the Elizabeth street house is underway!

Woo Hoo! Been redoing parts of the new house. Spent most of yesterday removing the stickem linolium squares on the kitchen floor, rough work, and half of them weren't even stuck any more, LOL. You could smell BenGay all over the house last night after I got home, LOL, guess I sat on that floor too long!

I'm keeping a photo journal of the work going on there at my DSP gallery.

No time to do Scrapping LO's just now, too busy, eeekkkk, but we're having fun!

Just in time for Valentines Day

I did this LO for 2 different Challenges at DSP, the "Monthly Club Digital Contest" for Feb 2008. and "Scrap With This and Win" for Feb 2008, using A heart, An Overlay, and A Pink BG.

I just Love the look on Bug's face here. The picts were actually taken July 2004 at my Sister's house during her twin's B-Day party. He's grown up so much since then! :)

Living Quarters Update

Well the house mentioned on the 13th of Jan fell through, property boundry issues and a paper road running smack through what little back yard there was. Did find another listing in the same plan of homes and had the inspection this past Friday. Looks like it's a go. Needs loads of cosmetic work and some wiring, oh, and a new roof. Good price even though it needs work.

Worked on a new LO yesterday for the StyleLift challenge at DSP. Used loads of filters, the Wacom Tablet to freehand paint, smudge and add some interest to match the Kandinsky Style.
