Living Quarters Update

Well the house mentioned on the 13th of Jan fell through, property boundry issues and a paper road running smack through what little back yard there was. Did find another listing in the same plan of homes and had the inspection this past Friday. Looks like it's a go. Needs loads of cosmetic work and some wiring, oh, and a new roof. Good price even though it needs work.

Worked on a new LO yesterday for the StyleLift challenge at DSP. Used loads of filters, the Wacom Tablet to freehand paint, smudge and add some interest to match the Kandinsky Style.

Mom n Jan's travels thru Cherokee National Forest this past summer. Did this LO for the StyleLift Challenge at DSP, our own designer Meryle Bartho's LO's were the subject this month.

New Living Quarters?

Signed contract for a small house yesterday... will see if it's a keeper after the inspection is done, I could be on my own again! Hopefully the inspection will be done by the end of this week. Keeping fingers and toes crossed, LOL.

Just a comment, I wish I knew how to make these digital kits of papers, ribbons and goodies. These designers put in so much work and I surely appreciate their time and efforts. Hanging out at any of the sites and doing challenges and contests usually means the designers that host them will give away a free kit or element and alot of my stash came that way.

Contest LO's

And here are the last 3 of 6 LO's for the "Stand Up and Scrap" contest from the previous post:

I guess not, won't let me upload anymore photos...

I'll try one more time...

Contest LayOuts

I entered a Digital Scrapbooking Contest last fall that lasted for 6 weeks. A new LO with different requirements was due each week. My first attempt at anything like that, and while I didn't win a thing, I sure had fun. The contest was called "2007 Stand Up and Scrap", Scrappers united for planet earth, a benefit for "The Alliance for Climate Protection". The following LO's were submitted to that contest:

Ok, I'll have make a new post of LO's 4,5, and 6.

This is my effort at a Style Lift, for those unfamiliar with that term, I tried to do this LO the same way as another artist would do theirs. DSP holds a Style Lift challenge each month, with a different artist from the internet or our own DSP members. Mine turned out more of a collage, but like the effect of the ball flying at you.
Nearly forgot, the artist we "lifted" for this LO is Jessica Dittmer of Wishing You Wells. If you have time, stop and look at her studios, fantastic altered art from photographs!
Whoa, I'm a bit lost here, learning how to do this, couldn't find where to post !! Now all I have to do is remember it, LOL
